Agriculture
Glenn Forbes: Glenn has 26 years experience within the industry and joined the Alex Stewart International in 1997. He originally held the position as Cargo Superintendent for dry and oil cargoes in the agricultural field, before taking over the role as Agricultural Manager for Alex Stewart International. He has been heavily involved in training and development programmes and spent considerable time in Argentina, Kazakhstan and Philippines training staff all aspects of agriculture inspection. Glenn is a fully qualified in draft surveyor, seed sampling, pest detection and agriculture and regularly participating in GAFTA and FOSFA committees, and also lecturing for their international training courses.
Arild Moe: Arild has worked for Alex Stewart Environmental Services since 1994 and has been heavily involved in all of its development and new environmental projects. Our environmental laboratories work to ISO standards and report organic and non-organic parameters to p.p.m. and ppb levels. Types of analysis include waters and bacteria in water, pollutants, heavy metals, anions, seawater; soils and sewage treatment for heavy industry; environmentally sensitive mining projects, geological research and development and also soil clean up projects.
Kozo Matsumoto: Mr. Matsumoto was appointed Managing Director of Alex Stewart International Far East in 1984. Industry leaders hold Mr. Matsumoto in high regard and he currently acts as Technical Director for Alex Stewart International. Mr. Matsumoto specializes in all inspection operations technical procedures for bulk metal concentrates at both load and discharge ports.
Wilson Faifer: Agricultural Engineer, with MBA in USP – University of São Paulo/Brazil. Wilson has worked 3 years with Ciba Geigy, 12 years with DuPont Chemicals, 3 years in Trading Company and has been working for 3 years now with Alex Stewart International. Wilson specializes in agriculture products, traceability, GMO, and complex negotiations with investors (banks, funds), clients and CMA Company.
Krishnan Vadivelu: 28 years working in the surveying industry, extensively trained in all aspects; Certified and Qualified Palm Oil and Agri Surveyor by MPOB, FOSFA, GAFTA, attended & possess various Marine Courses / Certificates; Pipeline Coating, IOPP-Oil Pollution, Finance. Working with Alex Stewart Malaysia for the past 5 Years in the position of General Manager /Director. Former Deputy GM of BSI Inspectorate and having specialise experience in handling and managing Governmental Customs Contract and CMA for Petronas (MITCO) & Maybank.
Mauricio Olmedo : Oversees all aspects of geochemical and environmental activities in Argentina, including the world-class laboratory facility in Mendoza. Mauricio has extensive experience in quality control and specializes in environmental management projects. Mauricio's formation includes qualifications from the University of Catalunya, Univeristy of Anconcagua and the National Technology University of Argentina.
Erwin Flores: Mr. Flores has more than 25 years of professional experience, including 20 years in the management of governmental projects. He was executive vice president of SWIPCO USA, an international company providing procurement services to governments. Prior to that, Mr. Flores was responsible for the development of spacecraft operations systems for NASA and INTELSAT. He holds a degree in physics
Vladimir Atanov: Graduated from Odessa High Marine School in 1987, qualification - ship engineer. Position: 1996 – 2002 Senior Surveyor, Manager of IPS Survey Department; 2002 - until present, Director of Ukrainian Group of Alex Stewart, overseeing all aspects of Ukrainian operations. Mr Atanov is the co-writer of highly acclaimed technical guidelines for Draft Survey book.
Bauzhan Makanov: Baurzhan Makanov has worked for Alex Stewart International since 1st July 1995 and is a specialist in chemistry, metallurgy and environmental services. Baurzhan is committed to the customer, he understands expectations and his local knowledge and experience achieves desired results. The Alex Stewart International Kazakhstan provides inspection both in the Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Peter Webster: Peter I. Webster started his work career overseas in 1972 first as an analyst and has been employed in the inspection service business since 1975 as Petroleum Chemist/Surveyor and Operations Manager covering North Africa, Mediterranean and Middle East. Appointed as Managing Director responsible for business start up of a leading survey company in Singapore in 1984, which lead to full commissioning and operation of an extensive petroleum laboratory project. To date achievements include establishment of four full laboratory facilities in Singapore, the employment of over 500 people in the region and successful Joint Ventures in Malaysia (1992 and 2005), South Korea (1992), Australia (1996), Thailand (2004), Indonesia (1999 and 2005), Vietnam (2005) and China (1996).
Rick Hendricks: Rick joined Alex Stewart International in 1996 as a metals and minerals inspector covering inspections and providing representative services in the United States and Canada, and now has extensive experience with the inspection and sampling of all metals, especially precious metals. Rick is the General Manger of Alex Stewart International’s operations in the United States and together with his team; we provide inspection coverage for international and domestic clients throughout North America.
Levant Delibas: Graduated in 1984 from Computer Sciences at Bosphorus University (Istanbul). In 1986 Levent started his inspection career as a surveyor of Vitsan Gözetim A.S (Inspectorate). During a working period of 7 succesful years he advanced to the position of Assistant General Manager at Vitsan A.S. In 1993 he joined and built Alex Stewart Uluslararası Gözetim A.Ş. Levent’s experience covers metal, mineral, agriculture, liquid cargoes, marine surveys and with over 22 years knowledge, he also specializes in steel scrap inspections. This is one of the reasons Alex Stewart International is the preferred choice of inspection company in Turkey.
Kushal Roy: Kushal is a Class I Marine Engineer with 9 years sea service. Kushal is a fully qualified independent Inspector / Surveyor and has about 23 years experience, of which the last 20 years has been with the Alex Stewart Group in the field of independent Inspection, Sampling & Testing of various commodities; particularly solid fuels like coal & coke for which I have set up an integrated inspection and testing service in India.
Nick Sabatino: has been in the finished steel inspection & survey business for the past 11 years. He joined Alex Stewart International in 2002 and travels globally to oversee the execution of contracts in various steel mills and at both the port of loading and discharge. With the assistance of our global offices, we are able to create on a case-by-case basis individual criteria for shipments by break-bulk or by containers. Our services include pre-shipment, vessel suitability, loading supervision, tally count, draught surveys, weigh bridge verification and discharge supervision. All our services include daily reports with digital photographs so our clients are able to see in real time the overall quality of their steel products. Upon completion of each nomination a complete report with photographs and corresponding documentation will be sent via email or by courier.
